About Us - History

Keith Clark established K&C Design in 1987 in Carol Stream, Illinois. Mr. Clark’s comprehensive education in tool and die, die design and years of skilled quality control experience became the foundation for his company’s success formula. Mr. Clark established K&C Design as a design company specializing in inspection gauging, production tooling, and manufacturing fixtures. As the need for machining of prototype and test production samples developed, K&C began providing those services to the automotive, medical, and transportation industries. As customer request increased for K&C to manufacture products from its designs, they responded by expanding capabilities in 1992 from designing to machining. K&C moved forward, fulfilling small production needs as well as prototypes and quickly grew as larger demands developed. The first facility was established in Addison, Illinois in 1997, with the addition of CNC equipment. Customer demand increased as word spread of K&C’s excellent capabilities within the industry. In 2011, the company expanded to its current full service location.

This expansion has allowed K&C to work in diversity of industries utilizing the latest machining technology – from casting to billet, and all systems were developed to better serve our customers.
